"...in this universe it is common knowledge that planets are 'born' from the inner depths of other ancient planets. They gracefully emerge from the oceans as recon shuttles from the homeworld survey the spectacular events..."
UPDATE I have listened to the comments and made changes to the original image accordingly. As this is my first space art image I'd love you guys to let me know what you think.
Ok, I wanted to try the whole 'Space Art' thing as it looks like good fun, I was inspired by the peeps over at:
The Luminarium guys produce some awesome work. How could I not be inspired! I'm a member there but I produce mainly abstract work.
I enjoyed creating this image and being my first space art work ever know that I have a long way to go....
Very nice If you want some Critique - the clouds at bottom and that "smoke" around the light beam on top-middle are blurred (and it's not gaussian blur but rather one from up-sizing photo), try using higher-res texture and will look decent
awesoume love the nebula, the only thing i can see is the clouds seem dense around the base, maybe if they had like a layer mask on them with some diffrence clouds or something to make them not all the same opacity? i dunno... its late, but its great man +fav
I think it's missing quite a bit of detail. To me it seems unfinished. Also a small tip, add a tiny bit of monochromatic noise to the light blue gradient layer behind the plant and it will clean up that banding.
Abstract in space is fun... I did 3 pieces in 2006 with that theme, check em out!
